Is the landform high or low?
Some landforms are high and some are low. Some are flat, some have a gentle slope and some are steep.
A large area of high, flat land. It has at least one steep side, like a mountain, but its top is flat, like a table. Small plateaus are sometimes called mesas (Spanish for 'tables').
A wide area of low, flat land. Grasslands are plains covered with grass. Coastal plains are flat areas near the sea. Many cities and farms are on plains because it is easy to build and grow crops there.
Like a mountain, but smaller and less steep. Its sides have a gentle slope.
A low area between hills or mountains. Valleys can be U-shaped or V-shaped. They often have fertile soil, very good for plants, and sometimes a river flows through them.
Compare them
high → higher → the highest: A hill is lower than a mountain. Mulhacén is the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula. Also: flat → flatter → the flattest, cold → colder → the coldest, steep → steeper → the steepest.
