Why is sleep so important?

✦ Lesson 5

Why is sleep so important?

Sometimes your body just needs to do nothing! Rest helps the body recover from everything you did during the day. We also say relax, chill out or chillax. The most important kind of rest is sleep.

😴
At least 9 hours a night

That is how much sleep children your age need.

Healthy sleep habits

  1. 1
🕘 Go to bed and get up at the same time

every day, even at the weekend if you can.

  2. 2
    🛁 Have a routine

a bath, brushing your teeth, a story: the same steps tell your body it is time to sleep.

  3. 3
    📵 No distractions

    put screens away before bed.

  4. 4
    🌙 Dark and quiet

it is best to sleep in the dark and in silence.
