Taking care of you: mental health
Making healthy decisions keeps our body healthy, but our mind must be healthy too. Sometimes we need time alone, and that is fine, but spending too much time alone can be bad for our mental health. Things that help:
Big words, big ideas
Being able to imagine how other people feel. Everyone has their own possibilities and limits, and we should respect them.
The group of people you live with or near: your family, your class, your town. Helping your community makes you feel good.
Feeling that you are a valuable person.
As you grow up you make your own decisions. If you act responsibly, adults and friends trust you more.
How can you be more responsible at home? Think of one job you can do every day without being asked, like laying the table or tidying your room.
